Delete from inside SameMe
Sign in, open Settings, and use the data rights controls to request account closure. This removes your profile details, sign-in identities and permissions, while legally required audit records are retained only as long as the law requires.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in, email privacy@sameme.co.za from the address linked to your account and ask for account deletion. We will verify the request and confirm once it is complete.
If you signed in with Google, Apple or Facebook
Removing SameMe from your provider's app or permissions page stops future sign-ins. When Facebook notifies us that you removed SameMe, we automatically open a deletion request and give you a confirmation code to track it on this page.
What happens after a request
Deletion requests are confirmed within 30 days. Information already shared with an organisation under your explicit consent remains subject to that organisation's own retention obligations.
